How often should I have my boiler serviced?
We recommend an annual service for gas, oil and LPG boilers. Yearly servicing keeps your boiler running safely and efficiently, helps prevent unexpected breakdowns, and is usually a condition of keeping your manufacturer's warranty valid. We send a reminder around two weeks before your service anniversary so it never gets forgotten.
What does a boiler service include?
Our engineer carries out a full visual inspection, checks the gas pressure and flow, examines the flue and combustion (recording a flue gas analysis), tests safety devices and controls, inspects seals and the heat exchanger, and cleans components as required. We then confirm the boiler is operating safely and efficiently and complete the paperwork — because the job is not finished until the paperwork is done.
Do you handle emergency breakdowns and repairs?
Yes — we repair all makes and models of gas, oil and LPG boilers. For office-hours enquiries call 01494 328382, and for out-of-hours emergencies such as a complete heating or hot water failure call our 24-hour emergency line on 01494 452502. Labour is charged at £100 per hour (minimum one hour), plus VAT and parts — indicative and subject to survey.
Can you provide landlord gas safety certificates?
Yes. As a Gas Safe registered company we issue landlord gas safety certificates (CP12). UK landlords are legally required to have an annual gas safety check on every gas appliance and flue in a rented property. A gas safety certificate is £130 + VAT (indicative, subject to survey), and we can often combine it with a service in the same visit.
