A future-proof way to heat your home
An air source heat pump is one of the most efficient ways to heat a home in Buckinghamshire, replacing your gas, oil or LPG boiler with clean, electric heating.
An air source heat pump (ASHP) works a little like a fridge in reverse. It draws warmth from the outside air — even on cold winter days — and uses it to heat the water for your radiators, underfloor heating and hot water cylinder. Because it moves heat rather than burning fuel, it delivers several units of heat for every unit of electricity it consumes, making it far more efficient than a traditional boiler.
The benefits are straightforward: low-carbon heating that cuts your reliance on fossil fuels, excellent year-round efficiency, and a single system that looks after both your central heating and your hot water. For homes off the gas grid, or anyone keen to move away from oil and LPG, an ASHP is often the most sensible long-term choice.
The key to all of this is correct installation. A heat pump only performs as well as it has been designed and commissioned, which is why we carry out a detailed heat-loss survey of every room before we recommend a system. As we always say, correct installation is the single most important thing — and over 90% of our work comes from referrals because we get it right.
You can see where we have installed heat pumps across the UK on the installer map on our homepage.

Why choose us for your heat pump
Approved installer
We are a Guild of Master Heat Engineers approved installer, fitting the trusted Vaillant aroTHERM range. Your system is designed, installed and commissioned by experienced heating engineers, not subcontractors.
£7,500 grant handled for you
On qualifying installations the £7,500 Boiler Upgrade Scheme grant is deducted from your quote. We manage the application on your behalf so the saving is built straight into your price.
Designed for your home
Every install starts with a room-by-room heat-loss survey. We size the heat pump, emitters and cylinder to your property so it runs efficiently and keeps you warm through a High Wycombe winter.
Heat pump servicing
Keep your system running at peak efficiency with an annual service from the same team that installed it.
Like any heating system, a heat pump should be serviced regularly to protect its efficiency, reliability and warranty. We offer both an annual service and a fuller first or full service, carried out by our own engineers.

Heat pump FAQs
Will an air source heat pump work in an older property?
Yes, in most cases. Older properties around High Wycombe can run very effectively on a heat pump, but the system has to be designed correctly. We carry out a full heat-loss survey for every room, look at insulation and emitter sizing, and design the system to deliver the heat your home actually needs. Sensible insulation and draught-proofing improvements help, but a well-designed installation is by far the most important factor.
What are the running costs compared with gas or oil?
A heat pump produces several units of heat for every unit of electricity it uses, so it is far more efficient than a gas or oil boiler. Actual running costs depend on your tariff, how well the home is insulated and how the system is set up, which is why we size and commission every install carefully. Many homeowners moving from oil or LPG see the biggest savings. We will talk through realistic figures for your property during the survey.
Am I eligible for the £7,500 Boiler Upgrade Scheme grant?
The Boiler Upgrade Scheme offers a £7,500 grant towards a qualifying air source heat pump installation in England and Wales. To qualify you generally need a valid EPC with no outstanding insulation recommendations, and the heat pump must replace a fossil-fuel system. As an approved installer we handle the grant application on your behalf and the £7,500 is deducted from your quote, so you do not pay it out and claim it back.
Do I need bigger radiators for a heat pump?
Sometimes, but not always. Heat pumps run at lower flow temperatures than a boiler, so some radiators may need to be upsized to give off the same heat at a lower temperature, or underfloor heating may be used in part of the home. As part of the survey we measure every room and tell you exactly which emitters need changing, so there are no surprises once the work starts.
